Associated Northcliffe Digital was formed in October 2006 by the merger of three companies owned by the Daily Mail and General Trust group: Northcliffe Electronic Publishing, Associated New Media and Associated New Ventures.

Most of the company's operations and staff are based in London but its Digital Publishing division, overseeing new product development, is based in Derby. Among those new products is this website, You and Yesterday.

The division also produces the online obituaries website Lasting Tribute and the Big Green Switch website (www.biggreenswitch.co.uk) which promotes environmentally-friendly changes everyone can make to their lifestyles.

Initially the Digital Publishing division was based at Cardinal Square - the former Eastgate House - on Nottingham Road, Derby, which had been the home of Northcliffe Electronic Publishing, one of the predecessor companies of AND.

Early in 2008 the division moved to the Derby Evening Telegraph building on Meadow Road. The Derby Evening Telegraph is one of many regional and local newspaper titles which are also owned by DMGT.

The Managing Director of the Digital Publishing division is Keith Perch, formerly editor of the Derby Evening Telegraph and managing director of Northcliffe Electronic Publishing.
