Babington Lane, Derby - then and now

Jump to: navigation, search

Hunters furniture shop is one of the few consistent features of this scene, which has noticeably changed over the past 39 years.

The older building on the far corner of Babington Lane and Gower Street has been replaced by modern residential apartments, and several businesses on the bottom half of Gower Street have come and gone.

Hunters has, however, remained a permanent feature since the store was established, in 1928, by two brothers, to supply quality furniture to Derby folk. It has continued to thrive ever since.
