Berry, Mark (Bez)
Mark Berry
Mark Berry (born April 18, 1964) is more commonly known by his nickname 'Bez'.
Berry found fame as a dancer with the Manchester band The Happy Mondays in the 90s, when the Mondays split up he teamed up with Mondays lead singer Shaun Ryder forming the band Black Grape.
His trademarks were his frequent drug use (of which he talked of in his book 'freaky dancing') and his crazed maraca dancing making him the archetypal Madchester figurehead.
He left Black Grape in 1996 and now appears in his own band, Domino Bones. In 2005 he won Celebrity Big Brother and used the winnings to pay off his debts.
Bez currently lives next to his bandmate Ryder, in Padfield, Derbyshire.
