Derby Bus Station
Derby Bus Station was designed by Charles Herbert Aslin and opened in 1936. It was the first purpose-built bus station in the United Kingdom.
In July 2006 the bus station was demolished to make way for a massive city redevelopment project.
Note: The opening date quoted here is incorrect. The bus station opened in October 1933. See 'Central Bus Station opens October 2 1933' article.
