Derbyshire in Art - A Virtual Gallery

Jump to: navigation, search

The aim of the DERBYSHIRE IN ART project is to accumulate in the You & Yesterday picture gallery as many artistic representations as possible of Derbyshire places or people.

As long as the picture features somewhere in Derbyshire, or depicts a person connected to the county, we would like to feature it in our gallery. Lesser-known artists and the more uncommon pictures are just as welcome as the better-known examples. Or perhaps you are an amateur artist who would like to share an example of your own work.

The gallery begins here. Just scroll down to view the pictures:

We would like many more pictures to be added to the virtual gallery. The preference would be to show only one or two examples by as many different artists as possible rather than to feature extensive works by a single artist.

A number of the gallery pictures also have links to articles featured on the You & Yesterday site.

If you have pictures to share, why not add them to the DERBYSHIRE IN ART gallery by following the simple 'picture upload' procedure. Then paste them into the gallery here. Don't worry if you are unable to follow the exact layout - our gallery curator will tidy it all up!
