Far-off days at Peartree Secondary Modern
Are there any old pupils from the Peartree Secondry Modern school, from 1949-1953 still around and does the school still exist? We had some excellent teachers, Mr. Birk for maths, Mr Toplis for english, Mr Davies for geography, Mr Walker deputy head and gardening teacher, and of course, Mr Allen the head master, who used to write for the Derby Evening Telegraph. Does anyone have any memories from these years?
