Ilkeston North Railway Station - then and now

The photograph on the left, shows Ilkeston North Railway Station on a busy day in the early 1900s. It looks as though passengers bound for Marlpool and Heanor had to change here.

Unless it has lost its owner, there appears to be a station dog, waiting expectantly for the next train.

The site is now occupied by Ilkeston police station, above right.
