North Road, Ripley - then and now
The former Co-operative Society building in North Road, Ripley, in its heyday in the 1920s, when it was the headquarters of Ripley Co-op.
The building, with its landmark clock tower, closed as a Co-op and became a discount clothing store in the 1990s.
It was bought by a local businessman and renovated as shops and offices in 2001, with only the Co-op Funeral Service remaining, as can be seen in the 2008 photograph, below.
