Rathbone, Basil
Basil Rathbone (13 June 1892 – 21 July 1967) was an English actor most famous for his portrayal of Sherlock Holmes and of suave villains in such swashbuckler films as The Mark of Zorro and The Adventures of Robin Hood.
His connection with Derbyshire was the time he spent as a pupil at Repton School.
