I enjoyed Dave's story, I'm sure our paths have crossed.

As a 15 yr old (1959) I played for The Derby Engineers Club, we enjoyed doing over the big name clubs and also the Sunday League games. In 1961/62 I had a season with the Rams A team, injury forced me to take a break.

But until emigrating in 1970, I still played in the local leagues, some names you mention, Ray Winson, Barry Hardy, Steve Saunders, Tim (Joey) Fitzgerald, I remember well. Loved playing against Roe Farm, great football, if you let them dictate, we didn't. Had older brothers Peter Collis play with Graham St Prims, Eric with Mickleover??

Great Days.

Where are they now, old school (Allenton 1955 - 59) footy mates?? Let's hear from you.

Reg Collis, Brisbane, Australia.
