I think I can confirm the lawnmower theory as opposed to the wild cat hypothesis. The bar had a sign over its door welcoming patrons to 'The Grass Box'. This does not, however, explain the the name of the lounge, but which nevertheless in keeping with the gardening theme was dubbed 'The Log Room'. QED?

Sounds good to me Graham - thanks for that - I recall the 'Grass Box' now you mention it, although I always frequented the 'Log Room'. Wonder what happened to the great Panther sign?
