Talk:Shelling out too much for eggs sparked anger
So much today is written about 'declining standards of literacy' that it is perversely comforting that this placard from the 1970s displays the word 'their' instead of 'they're' - but at least it wasn't 'there' and is neatly written. Just an observation - maybe the good old days are simply an illusion. One wonders if the Victorians wrote their placards correctly. User Peter Seddon 12 February 2008
