ALLESTREE WOODLANDS TENNIS CLUB is an old-established venue for Lawn Tennis situated on Kedleston Road, Allestree, on the outskirts of Derby. It is a friendly and sociable club run by the members for the members, and has five artificial 'grass' courts, three hard courts and a comfortable club house opened in 2007.
Over the years it has produced many fine players, including those who have represented Derbyshire. The precise year of its formation is not known, but it is believed to have first flourished prior to the Second World War. If anyone can add photographs or memories concerning the club's history or its members, just click on the 'edit' link here and begin writing.
