Hot pants

Remember hot pants? They were all the rage back in the 1970s? They looked fantastic on long-legged, slim young women but were less than flattering on anyone with more rounded figures.

A lot of stars and well-known models wore them, including the stick-thin Twiggy. But they also looked wonderful on the more voluptuous Raquel Welch, Brigitte Bardot and even Lulu.

Of course, today, short shorts are nothing unusual but, in the 70s, they were initially quite risqué. Did you have a favourite pair? Do you have any amusing tales to tell about them? Click the ‘discussion’ link at the top to add your memories.
