Windley
Windley is a very tiny village located on the edge of the Peak District National Park near Turnditch, on the B5023 road. Windley hall is the first major building that you see as you enter the village from the B5023 down Windley lane. In the grounds of the hall is The Old Cheese Factory which was originally a 17th century malt house but is now a rather nice looking luxury holiday home which you can stay in.
The village consists mainly of farms which are spread out from the main road. There can be no more than about 30 houses here, so it's a very quiet place to live.
